Proper thought out sizes and placement are key, with an understanding that lead time for most window orders take about 5-6 weeks. Because demo and framing in remodels take roughly the same amount of time depending on scale, it is important that a window schedule is created during the planning phase of any construction process and window ordered ASAP.  Also, we just learned that there is a nationwide price hike  Feb. 1 for most window companies.

​We made it.  We successfully packed up our 1600 sq. ft. home and have moved into our 550 sq. ft. apartment.  Stefan and I took advantage of MLK day off form work to pack up the house while the boys hung out with Mamie and Babu (as they are affectionately called).  Rule #1 when embarking on a full house remodel with two small boys (Cash 8; Tristan 4…and the family dog Grace 12) make sure you have family support close by or some where you can go for a reprieve.
